Protection starts with an inventory

Identify marble, timber, carpets, furniture and belongings that need protection. Agree what can be moved, who moves it and where it will be stored. Remove small valuables and personal items before the relevant area is handed over. Photos of the initial condition and protection help make the agreed starting point clear.

One room at a time is a plan to agree

Room-by-room work can reduce disruption but may affect the schedule and access. Tell us about bedrooms in use, home-working needs, children and pets. Agree safe separation from work areas. A room being visually finished does not by itself mean every product requirement for use has been met.

Building rules matter

Agree working hours with the relevant building contact and identify restrictions on lifts, common corridors, loading and waste. Working hours and any use of shared space are agreed for the actual property. Access must remain consistent with the agreed plan.

Ventilation and return to normal use

Discuss the product system, ventilation instructions and sequence before work begins. Odour is not a reliable measure of whether a room is ready for every occupant. Follow the relevant product instructions and project assessment rather than a blanket “sleep here in 24 hours” claim. Raise any particular household requirements before products are selected.

Questions before you start

Do I have to empty the whole apartment?

Not always. Explain what stays and which rooms are used, then agree moving, protection and sequence.

Can I work from home during painting?

Tell us which area you need. Whether it can remain usable depends on the work and separation possible.

Are building working hours fixed?

No universal hours are promised. Building requirements and the project schedule are agreed before work.

Does low odour mean immediate reoccupation?

No. Product instructions, ventilation and actual conditions must guide when the room can be used.
