Send your reference and explain which qualities matter: texture, depth, sheen or colour. Availability of the particular technique must be confirmed before the quote proceeds. A physical sample helps agree the result; a photograph should not be treated as an exact reproducible finish.
Wall preparation and lighting the finish
The base surface also matters for decorative finishes. Damp, loose areas and cracks should not be hidden beneath a decorative layer. State whether there is textured paint or wallpaper already, and whether lighting will change. Across a large wall, texture can look more pronounced than on a small sample. Discuss cleaning and future repairs, since a local correction may remain visible. The quote should identify the area, preparation, materials and sample-approval process.
