Give the project three dates, not one
Tell us when keys become available, when other trades or deliveries need access and when you arrive. These are different constraints. A buyer still in London and a family preparing a student flat may need the same coordination, even when their properties are very different.
Work backwards from the intended use of the apartment. Agree assessment, preparation, coating stages and handover for the actual scope. There is no universal five-day sequence. A finished paint application and a home ready for occupation are not automatically the same milestone.
Send a brief your local representative can follow
Provide a wide photograph of each room, ceilings and close-ups of defects. A short walkthrough video helps explain the layout. Identify what is included, what stays untouched and who can provide access. Our written English quote clarifies the scope and any inspection still needed.
Keep key codes and key-storage locations out of the initial public enquiry. Arrange those details directly when necessary. Name one person authorised to approve additional work; an agent opening the door should not accidentally become the person approving extra costs.

An agent can hold the keys while you approve the painting from abroad.
Use daily updates to make decisions
We provide daily photo/video updates during the work. Agree the recipient and channel at the start. A useful update shows the area worked on, progress and any decision needed, rather than a sequence of attractive close-ups without context.
Tell us your time zone and who can respond if you are unavailable. A short video may explain the room well, but useful evidence matters more than an exact sixty-second duration. Keep approvals with the job record so a colour or repair decision is not lost in a separate conversation.
Close with a handover record
The remote service includes a final walkthrough video and photo set of the agreed work. Review them against the scope, record any points to resolve and retain product and colour references. Agree key return and who accepts the local handover.
This is a decorating record, not a whole-property inspection or professional listing photography. Plumbing, electrical work and other trades need their own arrangements. Your representative should know these boundaries before accepting the keys, particularly if furniture or guests arrive shortly afterwards.
Three questions before you start
Can my agent hand over the keys?
Yes. We coordinate access and return arrangements directly. Approval of extra work is assigned separately to a named decision-maker.
Will I receive updates every working day?
Yes. Daily photo/video updates during the work are part of the remote service, through the agreed channel.
Does sending the form guarantee my arrival deadline?
No. Dates are confirmed after scope, access, surface condition and product requirements are assessed.
FROM THE GUIDE TO YOUR PROPERTY
Start with your neighbourhood, the work and a few photographs. We communicate in English. An enquiry is not a booking.
